Next time you meet an atheist, tell him or her that you know a bold, fresh guy, a barbarian who was raised in a working-class home and retains the lessons he learned there.
Then mention to that atheist that this guy is now watched and listened to, on a daily basis, by millions of people all over the world and, to boot, sells millions of books.
Then, while the non-believer is digesting all that, ask him or her if they still don't believe there's a God!

FAIR’s Counterspin mentioned this and raised the question of whether O’Reilly’s ascendance might in fact be proof of God’s nonexistence.
O’Reilly’s prominence is a good argument against the existence of a just and benevolent God. As is disease, starvation, and right wing politics.
I’d say that what he’s describing is proof that justice, liberty and equality - actually USTA work!
If God is the reason O’Reilly is where he is today, that proves one thing to me.

OT - mfi sent me this link this morning as an addition to the Rolling Stone piece on Mr Nice Guy.
I personally think he’s making the case that he is Jesus. Born in humble surroundings (Bill was born in a manger…I suppose…he is sorta “mangey”) who “is now watched and listened to, on a daily basis, by millions of people all over the world and, to boot, sells millions of books.”
And this proves that there is somehow, a God. What else could he be implying other than that he delusionally believes he is the second-coming of Christ?

Many cultures have a trickster god to explain the crazy, capricous parts of the universe, such as when a good person suffers or a total fool receives great and completely unmerited rewards. I assume that Bill O’Reilly is referring to one of these.
