Ah, Friday news dumps! With all the news of our economy going in the tank, what tidbits can we find hidden (or at least attempted to be hidden) late in the day?
Ah! Here's a choice morsel. According to CNN, the US is going to sell $6.4B in Weapons To Taiwan
State Department deputy spokesman Robert Wood said Congress -- whose approval is needed for the deal to go through -- was notified Friday afternoon. He indicated the administration expects congressional approval quickly.
So, at the same time our economy is tanking, we poke a stick in the eye of our biggest creditor. I'm quite sure this makes some kind of sense in Bushland. Too bad the rest of us have to live with the results of their fantasies.

I wonder how the Red Chinese will express their displeasure.
We have lost the ability to play Russia off against China, so I guess we’ll have to engage them ourselves. This is not going to end well-poking China and Russia at the same time, while we’re bankrupt.
One might even call it stupid.
What’s the saying ’stupid is as stupid does’? Expects quick Congressional approval? From the lame duck Senate session? That Congress pays ANY attention to that which comes from the Bush Admin is what amazes me. It almost(?) seems as though they are trying desperately to start a war so they can impose martial law.

They will wait until they are sure that we are desperate for cash probably after the 700 billion runs out and Congress approves more money then they will say that they don’t have faith in the American economy and that they plan to start buying Euros.
Then the Dollar will drop we will become a second rate power and China will talk to Taiwan about joining China after all America will not be able to afford a war to help them then.
Talking and wining without a fight is cheaper than a war.

Seems Obama and Biden feel they are entitled to break any and every law they wish to win an Election. Hey Biden has 36 years experience in Washington and even more if you add New Castle County politics, in knowing how to ABUSE the powers of office to attack.
The Delaware News-Journal today continued its knowingly publishing outright lies against me in its favored coverage of Barack Obama and the Bidens (Delaware’s royal family).
This afternoon Greg Burton, Assistant Executive Editor for the Delaware News-Journal (in a recorded phone conversation) refused to print a retraction stating ” Jeff Witmarsh, of the Delaware state police did inform News-Journal reporters that I paid for a three week stay at the Rodeway Inn with fake money orders.” Repeated calls to the Delaware State Troopers (Troop2) offices of Jeff Witmarsh have not been returned.
It also seems that in addition to the knowingly false statements by the News-Journal in three separate articles (after being informed their information was untrue) Mr. Burton still stands by the papers claim that both “police reports and Superior Court records” stated the same information. Well Mr. Burton, you and the News-Journal are LIARS, because I have in my hand the police reports and the entire Court file and nowhere is there any such claim.
What makes you wonder even more, is the un-reported fact that (based on the fax transmission date on the attached copies of the money orders in question) it appears the Delaware Attorney Generals office, under sealed Grand Jury who’s foreman was an active Delaware State employee and Obama supporter, brought a criminal indictment and warrant without ever having produced the money orders into evidence!
It seems the reason the AG’s office took so long in providing my Attorney, Francis E Farren and myself copies of the items, was they Delaware Attorney Generals office had not ever had them. The copies of the money orders (with no indication that they have been returned unpaid) were faxed to the Delaware AG’s office on August 24, 2008 by one ABC Detective Agency. Now how can this be if the Grand Jury issued an indictment on Feb 4, 2008???
Mr. Burton of the Delaware News-Journal, and his reporters are indeed guilty of libel. They even had the nerve to published the same untrue statements yet again today
Anti-Obama blogger faces no felony charge

Charges against a Barack Obama critic, who was arrested for allegedly using counterfeit money orders to pay for a three-week stay at a New Castle hotel in 2007, were dropped last week.
and even published an article that implies I might even have agreed to a lesser charge, rather than report the dismissal of charges by the AG’s office for “LACK OF EVIDENCE!” This after the News-Journal was provided documentation showing I never paid for a single day of my stay with any money orders or checks of any kind.
Notice that today the N-J refers to me as an “Anti-Obama Blogger” and never mentions the name of Biden, but in their first article they defended Biden by name stating that any claim the Bidens were behind these false charges was wishful thinking for a conspiracy theory.
Well Obama/Biden have made it clear as has the Delaware News-Journal, that this entire affair smells of outright abuse of official office and MSNBC biased attack type reporting.
Bottom line, The News Journal and the Grand Jury Foreman and the Delaware AG’s office have more questions that need to be answered.
